Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - Mendocino, CA!!!

I was sad to leave Gaige House and Sonoma yesterday. I was not sure the scenery or accommodations could get much better, but once again I was wrong!!! I am happy to report that Mendocino and the Heritage House are absolutely beautiful. See for yourself!!

I had a dream with Alexander Monday night. Once again, it ended when I thought "if Alex is dead, how is this happening?" But since then, I have seen and felt him on every sunlit leaf and wondrous blue wave of the ocean. I know he has brought us to this place because it is one of his favorites and he wanted to share it with us.

Yesterday, we stopped at a mall on the road. A young teenage man was walking in ahead of us and his dress was not appealing to me and I said to Steve, "I hope Alex doesn't ever dress like that!" I then realized what I had done. It still boggles my mind!

So today we plan to go to the lighthouse and state park down the road. We may go canoeing and or horseback riding too!!

Thank you all for the wonderful postings. I can't believe people still read the blog!

love and God Bless!

Gwen - Thanks again for sharing...Alex is with us too regularly.

Katharine had a sleepover at the Zoo with her class last week. They zookeepers were talking about how some animals die. Katharine (visualize skipping along the path at the zoo) yelled back. "I am not afraid of dieing. My friend Alex died and he is having a GREAT time playing." Then she continued to run off not missing a beat.....He must be at some great places and sending happy thoughts! Katharine sure feels that from him.

Keep having fun on the honeymoon!

Gwen,
Northern California is my favorite place on Earth--I'm not surprised you can see your beautiful Alex amongst all that natural beauty. I hope you and Steve continue to have a wonderful time together on the belated honeymoon!

Of course we still read your blogs! It has become a part of my daily routine... come home, check my e-mail, look at Alex's blog... it is part of my routine, so you better keep writing or i'm in trouble! :)
I wondered if you and Steve were on your honeymoon! I was laying in bed last night thinking about you (couldn't sleep), wondering if you were away in some beautiful place...feeling a tad jealous as I have been spending my spring break pouring over the 15 books I have piled on my dining room table for my research project. ;)
I am SOOOOO happy that you two are getting the chance to relax and enjoy each other. The ocean always feels so healing to me... Good choice!
Enjoy your time, continue relaxing, and know that it has been quiet next door. (maybe a giggle or two have escaped within hearing reach.)
Love ya!

HI Gwen and Steve, I am SO glad to see you smile and hear the happiness in your words.... RELAX. God is so good and He has brought you here. I am sure you sense Alex because he knows where you are and he is also smiling down on you. I appreciate your blog so much as I have followed the progress since my daughter( friend of Babette) called to ask me to pray for your family many many months ago. You are both an inspiriation to those of us who read about your faithful comment to God and His will. I would love nothing more than to actually meet you both some day and your sweet little Zoe. Next time I come to visit my daughter Catherine Marcia, I will try to look you up. Mean while, we continue to hold you up in prayer for love, peace, comfort and healing. God Bless you all. Enjoy your honey moon. Lovingly in Christ, Cathy and Paul Lundy Spread Eagle, Wisconsin

Dear Gwen and Steve, we are very happy that you guys are having such a great time!!!
I just wanted to let you guys know that Malena and I had dinner at your house on Thurday and on Satuday Dean and I took the girls to the zoo. We took some beautiful photos of Zoe and Malena together. They had a blessing, we did too, it was just funny and soooo cute to see how much they like each other.
You guys have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

You better believe we still read it! Alex touched our lives and continues to do so. His light is powerful enough that he visits you in your dreams and makes a complete stranger take a minute to close her eyes and listen to her children playing in the sun. The Wolf Fam

I am so happy you are enjoying your trip and finding some peace, that I am sure Alex is helping to arrange for you from his special spot in the world.

I also wanted to thank you so much for calling me when Abigail was born. Your thoughtfulness among your own hard times never ceases to amaze me. Touch base on your return.

Love,
Susan
