Friday - June 30th, 2:45p

Okay, well some primal screams from depths formerly unknown, hugs from my dear sister and a shower really help one so exhausted. Steve told me a half hour ago that they will be moving to a private room any minute!!! My goal for the day has been accomplished!! I think I will take a nap now. More later.

Gwen and Steve,

I'm so happy to hear that Alex will be moved to a private room. I'm so sorry to hear he's in pain. Poor baby. I cannot begin to imagine how totally exhausted you both must be. Knowing what others in my family have experienced with hospital care it can be exasperating. As the parents' you really do have to be diligant about absolutely everything. I truly wish I could more encouraging on that matter. Hang in there. And please please be sure to sleep when you are able. That will prove to be the most important thing for you both to do for yourselves. Best to all of you.

Dear Gwen and Steve
I cannot tell you how thrilled we were to get the news that Alex has his own private room. It's like we just let out a big swoosh from holding our breath. We have been storming the gates of heaven on his behalf...crying out to God to make a place for him where he can rest. Now we will concentrate on eliminating the pain, lots of rest....and the return of his smile. It is his most endearing trait. And we pray for strength and endurance for both of you as you walk this tight rope. Thanks for keeping us updated...it means so much to us. Bless you all...

Dear Kasnoff Family,
I'm so happy to hear that Alex will soon be resting in a private room. That will surely help the recovery process. We have been following your postings and we are praying for Alex and sending hopeful postive thoughts and energy to your family. Curtis and I are involved in an organization called Sean's Hope. Sean's Hope provides resources and support for the families of children diagnosed with cancer. Danielle McCauley is the founder and director. Her son is now 5 years cancer free from a malignant brain tumor. We have given Danielle your website address and I'm sure that she will be emailing soon. She is a great resource. She also said that Dr. Foreman is also her son's oncologist and that he is absoulely the best. So Alex is in very capable skilled hands. If there is anything that our family can assist you with please let us know. Our daughter Carolyn and Alex were in Miss Rachel's Nido 1 class together.
Sincerely, Ann Somers and Curtis Johnsen (Carolyn Johnsen's parents)

Gwen and Steve,
I am so glad to hear Alex will have his own room where he may find the peace to catch up on some sleep! I really care about you guys and hope you know that you can call if you need anything... (Those aren't just neighborly words, I mean it!) I would be happy to run over and watch Zoe, water your lawn, keep your mom company... whatever I can do to lend a hand and take a little off your mind. I am praying for all of you! Please get some rest!

Gwen and Steve,

I hope things have settled down a little bit and that Alex has been able to get some rest. I know that you guys have heard this a lot but Steven and I have been thinking about you guys often. I have my entire family praying for all of you and sending warm wishes your way. We cant wait to be able to look across the street and see little Alex helping mommy and daddy in the front yard!! We know Zoe will be happy to have her big brother home as well. Please continue to have courage and positive thoughts. See you soon.
